Hao Taiji Quan: Folding

Folding means that you can connect two opposite parts and unite them, for instance, if there is a top, there is a bottom; if there is a bottom, there is a top. Folding not only explains people’s inner power, but also their Body Methods. Folding is used to describe the movements of people’s inner power. This means that when you want to push down, you must also have the intention of moving up by using your mind. There is a precise correlation between the physical movement and its internal (mental) counter movement. There are eight folding possibilities - four are basic, normal parallel folds, and four are diagonal folds. Your spine will become the center of the body as you learn the proper folding technique, and the body is divided into two equal parts.
